Departing Limassol at 20:00 to arrive in Beirut at 07:00 in the morning of Saturday. In Beirut excursions have been organised (extra charge), a visit to the city centre where centuries of old tradition combine with modern architecture in an almost incredible rebuilding project. The tour proceeds to the Jeita Grotto, a most unique experience, to admire the caverns sculpted by water and time, which created awe-inspiring stalactites and stalagmites. And then on to Byblos, the oldest settlement of the world, where there is a fascinating combination of ancient ruins and colouful bazaars. The excursion contnues with a panoramic tour of Jounieh, a city of high-rise buildings on a mountainside and a visit to the church of Lady of Harissa, a rise of 620 meters.
Those interested in trying their luck, another excursion has been organised (extra charge) to visit the Casino. If you wish to enter the casino you need to been dressed elegantly. A suit for men is a must and you also need to carry your passports to register before you enter.
At 02:00 of Sunday we depart for Latakia, arriving at 09:00 in the morning. Excursion has been organised (extra charge) for Latakia where we start from the port and go to one of Syria’s prime attractions, the finest castle Crac Des Chevaliers. Despite two tremendous earthquakes the Castle still looks very much as it did in the year 1200. We will walk through the castle in the 21st Century but will be taken back 9 centuries back to a time of war and siege.
Following on a 1½ hour tour we proceed to the City of Homs. There we combine 4 hours of leisure shopping in the old traditional Bazaar as well as the modern shops of the city.
At 21:00 of Sunday we will depart Latakia to arrive in Limassol at 07:00 in the morning of Monday.
Transfer from Paphos hotel to Limassol port and back to your hotel from the port on return to cyprus - CY£12.
For all cruises, guests can be collected from the Hotels to be taken to Limassol to embark the ship.
