Being on the outskirts of the beautiful Akamas Peninsula makes Polis the ideal base for exploring this wild expanse of unspoiled, rugged scenery, which is expected to become a National Park in the not so distant future. The tiny village of Latchi stretches along 3km of coastline with a sand/shingle beach and the excellent fish tavernas found here are famous island wide. A short 5km drive away is Polis, a small transitional agricultural town bursting with Cypriot culture. Life revolves around the main town square, here you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Cypriot village. |
