A Paphos hotel can be an imposing luxury hotel; built right on the beach and perfect for lazy days, yet still within walking distance of the major places of interest; or you can find a more casual Paphos hotel a little way out of the tourist area for complete relaxation.
Still under the spell of Aphrodite’s’ beauty, the resort has managed to retain its’ magic, and seduces holidaymakers with its diverse landscape, ancient treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still very much a way of life.
Your Paphos hotel may even organise trips out to some of these inland villages and should not be missed.
Stroumbi is a village with roughly 500 inhabitants, and is about 17kms from Paphos. The village is a big wine making village and most locals are employed somewhere in the wine making industry.
Pano Stroumpi is a very old settlement, maybe even going as far back as the medieval times; here you will see the ruins of two wineries and lots of traditional houses.
In the village of Armageti, you will experience true, traditional rustic living and the village is lovely and cool in the summer, without the humidity that the town’s experience.
