Many of the Limassol hotels have some Cypriot Cuisine on their menus, if not find a local taverna and try a famous ‘meze’ a feast made up of up to thirty small dishes, make sure you try the delicious Cyprus cheese, grilled Halloumi.
A popular place to soak up the sun is the famous Ladies Mile beach which is close to the New Limassol Port and only a 10-15 minute drive from Limassol Town centre. Relax on the golden sandy beach, swim in the crystal calm waters or even take advantage of the water sports facilities. The water here is shallow and ideal for kids, and the beach continues for miles so if peace and quiet is what you’re looking for, this is perfect.
Another great spot is Curium, a beach of incredible beauty, and although the sea is rough and wild, the beaches are stunningly beautiful. The ancient Amphitheatre, which has been rebuilt, is directly above the beach, and you often see hand-gliders floating above the cliffs.
