Make sure you visit Lefkara, just outside Larnaca and watch the old ladies making their lace as they did in years gone by, and also see the Salt Lake in Larnaca, especially if your holidays in Larnaca are in winter or spring when you may be lucky enough to witness the flamingos flying home.
Larnaca Town as it stands today is built on top of the Ancient city of Kition, which really deserves to be seen during your holidays in Larnaca. These ancient ruins include the remains of five temples dating back to the 13th century BC. Once you have worn yourselves out sightseeing, head back to Larnaca and treat yourselves to a coffee or a meal in one of the tavernas on the pretty, laid back promenade.
