For really active holidays Cyprus has plenty to offer, you can hire and charter your own boat, take a padi diving course, play golf on one of the championship courses, try go karting, go parasailing, try fishing, go hiking in the mountains, take a jeep safari…… the list is endless.
If you enjoy sightseeing holidays Cyprus is ideal. With over 9000 years of history to explore, it’s impossible to run out of places to visit and things to see. A lot of the most famous discoveries are in and around the Paphos area, but the other resorts still have their fair share of sights to see.
Ayia Napa - Just off Macronossis Beach you can find the Ancient Necropolis, with ancient tombs from times long before it became the resort we know today.
Limassol – The ruins of the Ancient City of Kourium, fascinating and well worth seeing with spectacular sea views from the theatre which is still used today.
Larnaca - Mosque of Hala Sultan Tekke was built in 1816 over the tomb of the foster mother of the Prophet Mohamed.
Protaras – The tiny Church of Ayios Ilias stands high up on a hillside on the main road out of Protaras. Fantastic views from the top and worth the climb.
Paphos - Some of the best preserved relics here are the fantastic Paphos Mosaics, which date back 2000 years ago when the Romans ruled this island.
