Most people renting holiday villas Cyprus also choose to hire their own car in order to be totally independent and to see some of the famous sights. Although many of the most famous sights are in and around the Paphos area, there is still plenty to see and do in the other resorts of Cyprus.
If you decide to hire a car during your villa holiday, and want to do some exploring, we highly recommend that you hire a 4x4 vehicle as many of the best trips are not easily accessible by a standard vehicle. A popular place for visitors is Lefkara, the famous lace making village, where you will still find the old ladies sitting outside sewing. Lefkaka, and the lace apparently captivated Leonardo da Vinci when he visited this area. Mount Olympus and the Troodos Mountains are another 'must' when in Cyprus.
