Although the deals to Ayia Napa are often seen as mainly holidays for party animals, Ayia Napa has much more to offer and its reputation as simply a clubbing town is unfair. Ayia Napa is home to one of the most beautiful 16th century monasteries on the island, which stands right in the centre of the main square and it would be a shame not to see it during deals to Ayia Napa.
Set high up on a hillside, is the Greek Orthodox Church of Ayios Elias on the main road out of Protaras, next door. Although roughly 100 steps must be climbed to reach the church, the view from the top is definitely worth the climb.
If you are able to take deals to Ayia Napa in September, you will be able to witness the festival which takes place here every year, in the main square, and is a great way to experience the history, culture and traditions of this amazing island.
