The lucky island of Cyprus has an extremely good climate, with the Cyprus weather usually consisting of very hot, dry summers and mostly mild winters, with the temperature rarely dropping below 16 degrees.

The majority of the rain that does fall in Cyprus generally does so in January and February, when the Cyprus weather is at its worst. During the rest of the year, Cyprus weather is generally warm (or hot) and sunny, and often without a cloud in the sky. The temperature of the sea changes just as Cyprus weather changes throughout the season. In winter the sea temperature can drop to as low as 16c but can rise to an amazing 28c during the height of the season. During its brief winter period, Cyprus weather does include some pretty stormy conditions and even some snow on the Troodos Mountains.

Cyprus Weather, enjoy the hot summers and warm winters.

The pleasant spring offers temperatures of around 23 degrees, is absolutely beautiful and is the best time to enjoy the wonderful array of spring flowers. Although the weather can be a little windy during the start of May although temperatures start to soar from the middle of the month.

In the summer months of July and August temperatures can easily exceed 30 degrees, and a great way to escape the heat for a while is with a visit to the Troodos Mountains. The mountains offer a refreshing break from the heat with temperatures about 10 degrees less than the rest of Cyprus, and much less in the way of humidity.

During the brief winter months you can even enjoy skiing in the mountains, heading back down to the beach for an afternoon of sunbathing.
