Nicosia,
the capital of Cyprus, the only inland town of Cyprus, and the only divided
city in the world; this was as a result of the Turkish Invasion in 1974.
On the way to Nicosia, you will be able to visit the Cyprus Handicraft
Centre, the Cyprus Archaeological Museum with the priceless collection
of Antiquities and other places of historical and cultural interest.
Into the heart of Nicosia where the Venetian walls once protected the
town from invaders, passing by the "Statue of Liberty" we are
into the "Laiki Yitonia". The Old 19th Century town recently reconstructed
is an area where the guests can buy the famous Cyprus pottery, handicrafts
and other souvenirs and also visit local taverns.
On the way back, along the "Green Line", the line which separates
the Occupied North we will ahead towards Lefkara, the home of the Cyprus famous
Hand Made lace and silverware, for you to admire and have the opportunity
to buy a gift for somebody you know.
