Limassol is a cosmopolitan town; it is a lively town - ask the fun loving people living there! In terms of history Lemesos emerged from the two city-kingdoms of Amathus and Kourion. The trip to Limassol passes the birthplace of Aphrodite, the remarkable coastline of Paphos towards the ancient city of Curium and later the medieval castle of Kolossi.
Through the Orange, Lemon and Mandarin plantations we will arrive in Limassol and visit one of the largest wineries where you can experience the wine production process.
"Commandaria" wine, the oldest named wine in the world, was first produced after Richard the Lionheart visited Lemesos during the crusades and made the town his headquarters. Some time will be allocated for shopping in Limassol and for Lunch (extra charge).
Returning to Paphos, we will stop for a drink at the Birthplace of Aphrodite.
